Thank you for your interest and visiting my web site. I have many years experience as an in house Graphic Designer, Commercial Photographer, Image Processor and Web Designer. Currently I am the Art Director on a temporary contract basis of Dirt Sports magazine. Most recently as an Art Director and Graphic Designer for Cycle News Publishing in Costa Mesa, California. I was responsible for magazine editorial design and production using QuarkXpress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat meeting weekly press deadlines for Cycle News and bi-monthly press deadlines for Personal Watercraft Illustrated. Previously I was an Advertising Art Director and Graphic Designer for ProMedia, an event company that produces muscle car racing publications. There I was responsible for magazine production, ad design and promotional design of various promotional items such as trade show booth, media kits, bind in cards etc. and web maintenance. Working with advertisers/agencies to coordinate and troubleshoot ads from external sources. Coordinate from editorial production to press. I worked for catalog and e-commerce sporting goods companies such as Ski Limited and Bike and Spike Nashbar in Ohio. Both companies were bought out and relocated. My responsibilities included: Catalog design, photography and production. Meeting with Marketing, Art Director and Purchasing Agents coordinating workflow, planning design layout, photography style or locations for catalogs and web site. Photography and styling of products and models, lighting both in studio or on location. Post production manipulation of photo files and am proficient on Macintosh or PC. Making PDFs and FTP them direct to press meeting production deadlines. Web site design and maintenance with a good understanding of basic HTML using Dreamweaver, Flash and ImageReady. In addition to my Bacholor of Fine Arts degree, I was trained as a Digital Photographer and Image Processor in Chicago by American Color. I have attended many continuing education seminars and classes including VTC On-line University certified in Adobe CS3 InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Flash.
